In May 2006 I was reading an article in a magazine that featured Christina Ong, founder of Imageworks Asia. She talked about the emerging image consulting business in Asia. The article gave me a good insight into what it is like to be an image consultant and how to get the professional training and certification.
Ever since I was very young I have always been interested in fashion and beauty. I always wanted to help others look good and make them feel confident about themselves. I always thought that would be a dream job to be able to do that for people. After being in Education for a number of years I felt it was time to go after my dreams.
I researched several training companies and found that ImageAsia, a partnership between London Image Institute and Imageworks Asia, offered a highly professional training. The program offered me a solid foundation and practical skills to launch my new career. The course outlines and objectives were very clear to what I would be learning. The instructors were very experienced Image Consultants who had been in the industry for a long time and had a long list of credentials.
The course was very intensive but every minute was extremely enjoyable. Lynne Marks and Christina Ong are amazing instructors. They are very passionate about their job and it radiates to all the people around them. Even after the course they continue to guide,support, and coach me to success.
A month after graduation I registered my Image Consulting business and am now embarking on a challenging and exciting journey to realize my vision of "Transforming Individuals. Changing Lives"!
