Q. What is the difference between Fast-Track and Executive Course?

A. The Fast-Track training is for the beginner student and certifies you to offer individual consultations in color, style and body analysis, wardrobe and shopping services. The Executive Course is for candidates who want to raise the level of their businesses and offer professional level seminars and workshops. Both courses award continuing education units (CEUs) if you are a member of the Association of Image Consulting International. AICI is an Authorized Provider with IACET the International Association for Continuing Education and Training. This ensures that both programs provide the highest educational value.
Q. How do these programs prepare me for the First Level of Certification (FLC) with the Association of Image Consultants International?
A. Both the Fast-Track and the Executive Course prepare you for the FLC. In addition we recommend that you follow the reading list provided by the Association of Image Consultants International, www.aici.org, and practice with friends and family before you feel confident to work with clients.
Q. Can I do both courses or is there an overlap?
A. There is no overlap between the Fast-Track and the Executive Course. We recommend to beginners that you do the Fast-Track first and then practice. When you are ready to offer seminars and take your business to the next level, you should do the Executive Course. If you have already been trained in color and style, then you are ready for the Executive Course. If you know you are ready to offer seminars, but need extra color instruction, we offer a day of simplified color training in the Executive Course.
Q. Where do I stay?
A. In New York and other cities we provide area hotel lists and have researched reasonably priced quality hotels. In Atlanta the course is held at a lovely hotel at the weekend and we have a corporate rate, so most people stay there for convenience and comfort. Q. What experience do I need?
A. For the Fast-Track you do not need any experience or prior knowledge of image, just a passion for the subject and a sincere love of people.
To get the most benefit from the Executive Course, you will need to have experience in one or more of the components of image or a related career. (e.g. color, makeup, hairstyling, clothing design, garment construction, modeling, fashion photography, styling, etiquette, personal shopping, retail sales, in-home product line, fashion certification or degree, image courses, fashion merchandising, home economics, tailoring, career consulting, professional coaching or presentation coaching.) It is also preferable to have some experience in teaching groups or consulting with individuals.
Q. How will these courses further my business?
A. If you want to increase revenues or start a successful image business you need to have a variety of skills, products and services to offer clients. Basic image skills will take you only so far in your career. In both courses, you will accelerate your experience and build your self-confidence by practicing tried and tested methods, concepts, tools and materials in a safe environment. Q. What certification do I get?
A. For the Executive Course, you will be certified by London Image Institute, one of the most highly acclaimed image training schools in the world with an international reputation for excellence. As a member of the Association of Image Consultants International you will receive 4.3 continuing education units (CEU's) for the 5-day course. The Fast-Track certifies you with The International Institute for Image Communications, IIIC, and you will receive 5.5 CEUs.
